A great way to release any negative mental toxins is to move your body by exercising. I recommend you exercise no longer than thirty minutes. Even if you’ve been exercising for quite a while I’m going to ask you to temporarily cut down your workout time to thirty minutes a day. I recommend you workout 3-5 times a week for 20-30 minutes–whatever feels good to your body.
You may wish to alternate your workout to every other day if at any time you feel you’re pushing your body too hard. It’s important to listen to your body. Stop exercising when it becomes too strenuous or it feels like you’re working out in misery mode.
As you build up your strength you can increase your workout time to 30 minutes. I recommend you don’t lift weights while cleansing. The goal while cleansing is to feel good while you’re working out and after you’ve worked out. The goal is to break out in a sweat but not be swimming in a pool of sweat. Gasping for air and throwing up after we workout is not what we are aiming for. You should be performing only low impact exercises. I recommend any of the following exercises:
• Yoga
• Tai Chi
• Qi Gong
• Low impact aerobics
• Swimming
• Walking
• Light jogging
• Dancing
To make sure you’re getting the full benefits of cleansing, I recommend that you exercise right after writing in your journal. You can start an early routine and write in your journal and exercise in the morning. Starting your routine in the morning will increase your energy throughout your day and leave your mind feeling more relaxed.
After you have worked out drink a cold glass of water. Inhale and exhale slowly. On each exhale feel your spirit get lighter and brighter. Inhale slowly again and as you exhale let out a sigh. Thank yourself for honoring your feelings and your body. Be kind to yourself.
Many Blessings,
Lisa
